We are back in the Hospital

(I hope this is coherent, I'm on some pretty strong painkillers.)

So night before last, immediately after dinner I developed really severe cramping in my stomach. I mean worse than labor kind of pain. Soon after that, my temperature dropped to 95 degrees and I started shivering uncontrollably. The pain came in waves, almost like contractions, and was made so much worse by the shivering. Stubborn me ignored my mom and husband's pleas to go to the ER that night, and the hurting eventually eased off, though it still came in waves throughout the night.

I felt better by yesterday morning, even though the muscles around my incision hurt like it was the next day after surgery again. Then I tried to eat an apple, got about halfway through it, and the pain came back. At that point, I decided it would be a good idea to see a doctor. We went to an urgent care place, but the doctor said she didn't have the equipment to deal with what I was describing, and recommended that I go to the ER.

So after waiting in the ER for what felt like YEARS, I was finally seen by a doctor. They did a CT scan and found fluid and an abscess in my abdomen, which means I have an infection from the c-section. Lovely. They admitted me to the hospital and were even nice enough to put us in the mother-baby unit. We may go home tonight, but it's looking like I'll be here a second night.

J has been with me the entire time and he has been the most perfect baby ever.

I hope I covered everything, it's taken me forever to type this because the pain meds have me falling asleep sitting up.
