I was too busy enjoying his birthday weekend (and, okay, snapping pictures... but that's just part of enjoying something for me) to write a post about my sweet baby turning 2, so I'll do it two days late.
Oh, sweet son... what can I even say? You have been at the same time more wonderful and more exhausting than I could have ever imagined. I've slept less in the last two years than I knew was humanly possible, but I've also loved more in the last two years than I knew was humanly possible, and I wouldn't trade that for all of the sleep in the world.
Your life as a two year-old is going to be filled with change... much like your life as a one year-old was... and the year before that, too. Okay, so your whole life has been filled with change up to this point. We are hoping that will change after this year, because Daddy needs to settle down long enough to finish seminary and get his PhD, but we can't make any promises.
Two things that won't change, though: your parents' desire to serve the Lord and follow wherever He leads, and our prayers that He will one day draw you to repentance and faith in Him and give you the same desire to honor and follow Him that He has given us.
We love you more than you could possibly know. Happy 2nd Birthday.
