Pink Sock Monkey Birthday Party

About a month ago, I got an email from a sweet mama named Kate. She was planning her daughter's first birthday party and wanted to use my free sock monkey decorations. I was thrilled to customize everything for her.

The party was last weekend and she just sent me some great pictures that show off some of the decorations (and the cutie patootie little birthday girl). Here's the table where she displayed the cupcakes, treat bags, hats, craft supplies, and smash cake (the monkey chow sign is something I made for her that I haven't put up on the blog yet):

I just love that she tied in some other monkey-themed ideas like the masks and coloring page! The bouquet in complementary colors is a great touch, too. So feminine and pretty. She also had a Pin the Tail on the Monkey game that was perfect. I was so inspired by it that I may try to whip up something similar myself. Here's one of the sweet little birthday girl playing in her "This Lil' Monkey is 1!" shirt:

And of course a first birthday party isn't complete without a diaper-clad cute digging into a smash cake:

I don't know if Mama made that cake or if she had it made, but I love it! I'm so impressed with how she was able to create such a fun, memorable first birthday party for her sweet girl. Not that her daughter will remember it, per se, but everyone else will, and I'm sure she will have a memory book full of great pictures to show her how much love and hard work that her mama put into making this day so very special. And I am so very humbled and happy to have been a very small part of that.

Lastly, how about an adorable picture of the little birthday girl all tuckered out from the party? There aren't any of my decorations in it, but I have to throw it in here just because you don't get any more precious than a sleeping baby:

Way to go, Kate!

ETA: Hi, I'm so sorry to anyone who is new to my blog, but we've added 3 kids to our family through foster-adoption, and I just don't have time to customize the birthday printables anymore. I hope you'll understand! Feel free to enjoy the free ones. :)
