I can't believe I am already 12 weeks along! I'm in the second trimester!! I took pictures this morning, but still can't find my camera cord (still nothing to see anyway), so hopefully I will find my cord by the time there is actually anything to see. :)
Although you can't see it in pictures, I am starting to get the tiniest of bumps. And by tiniest I seriously mean that I can't hardly even see it- I can mostly just feel it. It is so low that it is below the waistline of my pants. I started to be able to feel it at about 10.5 weeks by pushing around on my lower abdomen, and I can tell it is getting bigger already. I don't have to push to feel it, I can just run my hand down my belly and there's a little bump! It's so exciting!
Baby Center says that if I poke at my abdomen, baby will now squirm in response, even though I can't feel it yet! Baby is just over 2 inches long now (a half-inch growth in just a week!) and weighs half an ounce.
I've had the tiniest of energy increases this week, and may actually feel like exercising if I didn't work all day. My amazing husband told me that today my only job is to rest and he has been cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry all morning. It really doesn't get any better than that!
People have been asking me lately if I have a feeling one way or another about the baby's gender, and you know, I really really don't. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't trust it because I really thought it was going to be twins! We will just be so delighted either way that we really don't even have a preference.
I need to get some books about natural childbirth and start reading or else I know that time is going to slip away from me. I really want to at least read:
-The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth, by Henci Goer
-Ina May's Guide to Childbirth, by Ina May Gaskin
-The Birth Book, by Dr. Sears
and
-HypnoBirthing, by Marie Mongan
I'd better get started!!
