Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I really enjoy making a big deal out of St. Patrick's Day. The real St. Patrick, whose real name was Maewyn Succat, had such an interesting and inspiring life story. You can watch Veggie Tales awesome telling of his life on YouTube here: The Story of St. Patrick. I love how they explain paganism.

But I also like St. Patrick's Day for lesser reasons, like I love the color green, and I love matchy-ness, and I love festivities like dying rivers green and decorating with clovers. So basically, I love St. Patrick's Day.

Family pictures on this day have become mandatory, and I may or may not share them here every year for the rest of my life.

St. Patrick's Day 2009: Look how tiny he was! And how tired we were! I was still hurting pretty bad at this point after the c-section, but this was one of the first pretty days we'd had, so we got out and went to the seminary to enjoy it. That little outfit with the green dinosaur on it was the ONLY green thing Jude had at the time.

St. Patrick's Day 2010: Jude was so much bigger! And so was Daddy! In his defense, we had just gotten back to Moldova and we had spent the last three months sitting around our parents' houses eating all of the goodies that our moms like to cook for us. I looked kinda homely because I just rolled out of bed and threw on my green sweater for the picture. Josh was on his way out the door to teach New Testament.

St. Patrick's Day 2011: This boy is getting TOO big! Daddy's lost a lot of weight (25 pounds!) since we've been back in Moldova, and I actually looked nice this year because I had to teach this morning. Notice that Josh and I are wearing the same clothes two years in a row. You can tell we have SO many clothes to choose from. Also can you tell that my glasses are green? I love them.

So what are you doing for St. Patrick's Day? Anything special? I'd love to see pictures of your family today, comment and leave a link to your picture on facebook, flickr, or wherever. Tomorrow, I'll share any pictures you leave!
